Dr. Dave Jolkovsky graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Florida State University with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. He received his dental degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Jolkovsky practiced general dentistry in the Air Force in Okinawa and then Beale AFB near Marysville, California. He completed a Periodontics and Implantology residency at the UCLA School of Dentistry and also a M.S. in Oral Biology at the UCLA Division of Oral Biology. He was recalled to active duty during Desert Storm and was a Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF Reserves at Travis AFB.
Dr. Jolkovsky has lectured nationally and internationally in the field of regenerative periodontics and implantology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (Board Certified). He has contributed chapters to several textbooks on periodontology and implantology and has published original research in several journals. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Sacramento District Dental Society, American Academy of Periodontology, American College of Dentists and is a Lecturer at UCLA School of Dentistry.
Dr. Jolkovsky has lived and practiced full time in Davis since 1992. He is married and he has one daughter attending Davis High School and one daughter at Holmes Junior High School. In his spare time he travels, plays tennis, and photography. He is co-founder of the Photo Club of Davis (2008) with Dr. Samer Al Assaad and currently serves as its vice-president. He is also director of the Davis Dental Institute.
